About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join their expanding team, focusing on significant infrastructure development projects. This role is critical for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of various construction and development initiatives. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial site assessment and design through to construction and handover. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects and a keen eye for detail, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure development projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and company strategy.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Oversee site operations, construction activities, and contractor performance to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication among all project stakeholders, providing regular progress updates.
- Manage the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and project reviews to monitor progress and address any issues.
- Manage the project close-out process, including final inspections, documentation, and handover.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the infrastructure development or construction sector.
- Proven track record of managing projects of significant scale and complexity.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and document control systems.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities, with experience in managing diverse stakeholder groups.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CIOB) are advantageous.
- Experience with Hybrid working arrangements, adapting to both on-site and remote collaboration needs.
- Must be willing to travel to project sites as needed within the Milton Keynes area and surrounding regions.
