About the Role
Our client, a rapidly growing technology firm, is seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to oversee the development and delivery of innovative software solutions. This role is essential for coordinating software engineering teams, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively, meeting both technical specifications and business objectives. You will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and planning through to testing, deployment, and post-release support. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects using Agile methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, development teams, and QA engineers to define project scope, requirements, and priorities.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, and identify potential roadblocks.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders regularly and transparently.
- Ensure that software deliverables meet quality standards and are released on schedule.
- Manage project budgets and resource allocation effectively.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and team efficiency.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting best practices in software development project management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Proven experience managing software development projects using Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and common development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Git).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage remote teams and facilitate virtual collaboration.
- Experience with requirements gathering, user story creation, and backlog grooming.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certification such as CSM, PSM, or PMP is a plus.
- This is a fully remote position, requiring excellent self-discipline and communication skills to succeed from anywhere in the UK.
