Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the investigation and analysis of complex construction disputes and claims.
- Conduct forensic examinations of project records, contracts, and site evidence.
- Prepare detailed expert reports, quantum assessments, and delay analyses.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and litigation proceedings.
- Liaise effectively with legal counsel, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Manage project teams of surveyors, engineers, and other specialists involved in dispute resolution.
- Develop and present findings and recommendations to clients and legal teams.
- Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with professional standards and ethical guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of best practices in construction dispute resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management, with a significant focus on dispute resolution and claims management.
- Proven experience in forensic analysis, quantum assessment, and delay analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC) and relevant legal principles.
- Experience in providing expert witness testimony is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
- Professional qualifications such as MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent are preferred.
