Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK . This role is critical for overseeing a portfolio of diverse construction projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, safely, and profitably. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale building projects, civil engineering works, or infrastructure developments. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of construction and infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring work is carried out to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, including site managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing proactive solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project performance.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports for senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of project management experience within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and health & safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Experience managing projects in the Buckinghamshire region or similar urban development areas.
- Ability to balance on-site supervision with office-based planning and reporting in a hybrid work model.
- Professional qualification such as CIOB, RICS, or similar is a plus.
