You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale building projects, civil engineering works, or infrastructure developments. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of construction and infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring work is carried out to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, including site managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing proactive solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project performance.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports for senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of project management experience within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and health & safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Experience managing projects in the Buckinghamshire region or similar urban development areas.
- Ability to balance on-site supervision with office-based planning and reporting in a hybrid work model.
- Professional qualification such as CIOB, RICS, or similar is a plus.
