Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects, including software development, cloud infrastructure, and data solutions.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional technical teams, fostering collaboration and efficient workflow.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Identify and manage technical risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to software development best practices, quality standards, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years focused on technical or IT projects.
- Proven experience managing software development lifecycle (SDLC) projects.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern IT infrastructure.
- Excellent technical understanding and ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with clients or teams located in the Tyne and Wear region is a plus, but not essential given the remote nature.
- Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration.
