Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with Product Owners to define and refine the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritisation.
- Coach and mentor development teams on agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Remove impediments and obstacles for the development team to ensure smooth progress.
- Track project progress and performance using agile metrics and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of agile practices within the organisation.
- Manage scope, schedule, and resources for software development projects, adapting to changing requirements.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality software releases that meet user needs and business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is essential.
- Deep understanding of agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional software development teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing remote or distributed teams is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is beneficial.
- Strong aptitude for technical concepts and ability to communicate effectively with engineers.
