About the Role
Our client, a leading innovator in healthcare technology solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their expanding team, offering full remote work within the UK, with preference for candidates who can occasionally travel to
Liverpool for key meetings. This pivotal role involves managing the end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects within the healthcare sector, including EMR/EHR system implementations, telehealth platforms, and medical device integration. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple healthcare technology projects simultaneously.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Manage and motivate project teams composed of software developers, clinical informaticists, IT specialists, and external consultants.
- Ensure strict adherence to healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485).
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors.
- Oversee the procurement of necessary hardware, software, and services, managing vendor relationships and contracts.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure project success.
- Prepare and present detailed project status reports, executive summaries, and performance metrics.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and solutions within healthcare client organisations.
- Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned to improve future project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years focused on healthcare IT projects.
- Demonstrated experience with EMR/EHR systems, telehealth solutions, or medical device integration projects.
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry regulations, compliance requirements, and data privacy standards.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is required.
- Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage remote teams effectively and foster a collaborative virtual environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites, including potential visits to Liverpool .
