About the Role
Our client, a dynamic property development company with a strong portfolio in the commercial sector, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their team in
Bristol, South West England, UK . This role is responsible for overseeing various stages of commercial real estate development projects, from initial feasibility studies and acquisition to design, construction, and project completion. You will manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery in line with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in property development, construction project management, and excellent negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of commercial real estate development projects, including site acquisition, planning, design, construction, and handover.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Oversee contractor selection, negotiation, and management to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, legal teams, local authorities, and other consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects comply with all planning regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress against milestones and budget, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and investors.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Conduct feasibility studies and contribute to strategic site acquisition decisions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience within commercial real estate development or construction.
- Proven track record of managing development projects from conception to completion, with budgets typically over £5 million.
- Strong understanding of property development processes, construction methodologies, and relevant legal/regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial modelling tools relevant to real estate development.
- A relevant degree in Property Development, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse teams of consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to a hybrid working model, balancing office presence with site visits and remote work.
- Must have the right to work in the UK .
