About the Role
Our client, a leading multinational corporation with a significant presence in the technology sector, is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager specializing in IT Infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to lead critical infrastructure projects in **Liverpool, Merseyside, UK**. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure upgrades, implementations, and migrations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business needs.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Oversee the implementation of new hardware, software, network solutions, and cloud services.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams (networking, systems administration, security) and external vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage project risks and issues, identifying potential problems and implementing effective mitigation plans.
- Ensure all infrastructure projects meet high standards of performance, reliability, and security.
- Communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to IT leadership, business stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects (e.g., network upgrades, server deployments, cloud migrations).
- Demonstrated experience successfully delivering large-scale, complex IT infrastructure initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity principles.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and methodologies.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; PMP or ITIL certifications are highly desirable.
