About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead significant development projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of renewable energy projects, from site assessment and feasibility studies through to construction, commissioning, and handover. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project management of renewable energy development projects (e.g., solar, wind, battery storage).
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental impact analyses in coordination with relevant experts.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
- Manage contractor selection, negotiation, and oversight throughout the construction and commissioning phases.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, permits, and environmental standards.
- Liaise with local authorities, community stakeholders, and utility providers to facilitate project progress.
- Manage project risks and issues, implementing timely and effective mitigation strategies.
- Track project performance against key milestones and financial targets, reporting progress to senior management.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly adhered to on all project sites.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion focused on the energy sector, particularly renewable energy development.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale energy projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project finance, and development processes.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant regulations, permitting processes, and environmental compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and financial modeling tools.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master's degree or PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid office environment and travel to project sites as needed.
