You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of business-critical projects, ranging from new product development and regulatory compliance initiatives to process improvements and system integrations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the financial services landscape, excellent analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple departments. You will work closely with product teams, engineering, operations, and compliance to ensure successful project outcomes that drive business growth and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of key business projects within the FinTech sector.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
- Manage cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Identify, analyze, and manage project risks and issues, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies throughout project lifecycles.
- Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior management.
- Monitor project performance, track progress against milestones, and provide regular status reports.
- Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in business project management, preferably within the FinTech or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects involving business transformation, product launches, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, banking operations, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or MS Project.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working within the Cambridgeshire tech hub is a plus.
