About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Project Manager to lead their groundbreaking Research and Development (R&D) projects in Cambridge . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex R&D projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Define project scope, objectives, and key performance indicators in collaboration with R&D teams and senior leadership.
- Manage cross-functional teams comprising scientists, researchers, engineers, and external partners.
- Oversee the technical aspects of R&D projects, ensuring scientific integrity and progress towards defined milestones.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with novel research and development activities.
- Communicate project progress, findings, and strategic implications to stakeholders, including executive management and potential investors.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a strong focus on R&D, innovation, or technology development projects.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing new products or technologies from concept to a demonstrable stage.
- Strong understanding of scientific research processes and innovation lifecycles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and guide technical teams.
- Experience managing intellectual property considerations and grant applications is advantageous.
- PhD or Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
