About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Project Manager with a background in Research & Development to join their team in Cambridge . You will be responsible for managing cutting-edge R&D projects from initial concept through to prototype development and potential commercialisation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage R&D projects, defining scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management for research initiatives.
- Coordinate activities between research scientists, engineers, and external collaborators.
- Identify and mitigate technical and logistical risks inherent in R&D projects.
- Track project progress, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and research outcomes.
- Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing within the R&D team and with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager , with a focus on Research & Development projects.
- Strong understanding of scientific research processes and innovation lifecycles.
- Experience managing budgets and resources for R&D initiatives.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- A background in a scientific or engineering discipline is highly desirable.
