About the Role
Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the development and implementation of renewable energy infrastructure projects in and around **Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK**. You will be responsible for managing all phases of project execution, from initial planning and site assessment to construction and commissioning. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for renewable energy infrastructure projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring they are realistic and achievable.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and project success.
- Oversee site activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Manage project risks, identifying potential issues and developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Track project progress, prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders, and manage project documentation.
- Liaise with local communities and stakeholders to ensure smooth project integration.
- Manage procurement processes and contract negotiations with suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct regular site visits and team meetings, contributing to a collaborative working environment.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated experience in managing construction projects, including site supervision and contractor management.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and permitting processes for energy projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and standard office software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model, combining remote work with regular travel to project sites and the **Sunderland** office.
