About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of critical technology projects based in Manchester . This role demands a strategic thinker capable of managing the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure. You will be instrumental in ensuring that IT projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, aligning with the company's strategic objectives. This position requires a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills to guide project teams and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders in an office-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and successful completion of IT projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and communication strategies.
- Oversee project teams, providing leadership, guidance, and motivation to ensure high performance.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements throughout project lifecycles.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Project Management .
- Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects successfully.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or similar tools.
