About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead high-profile construction projects in and around Sunderland . This role is crucial for overseeing all aspects of site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing budgets, coordinating with contractors, and liaising with stakeholders to achieve project success. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all construction project activities from inception to completion, ensuring project objectives are met.
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and implementing cost-control measures to ensure profitability.
- Create detailed construction schedules, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, site safety protocols, and building codes.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in construction project management , with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and health and safety regulations in the UK.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools relevant to the construction industry.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
