About the Role
Our client is seeking a distinguished Lead Project Manager to spearhead significant projects from their Birmingham operational hub. This pivotal role involves overseeing the strategic direction and execution of multiple high-impact projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects, from initiation through to closure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of project managers and project coordinators, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Develop and implement robust project governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and risk management strategies for all assigned projects.
- Engage with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership, to provide project updates, manage expectations, and secure necessary approvals and resources.
- Champion the adoption and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques across the organization.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in managing a diverse portfolio of projects, with a significant portion in a lead or senior capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in both traditional and agile project management methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership qualities, with a proven ability to motivate and guide project teams effectively.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in managing large project budgets effectively.
- Hold a recognized project management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent.
