About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager with a specialization in construction to join their prominent team in Manchester . This role is crucial for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of significant construction projects across the region. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial design and procurement through to final completion and handover, ensuring stringent adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines in a fast-paced development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects, ensuring they meet all contractual obligations and client requirements.
- Manage project budgets meticulously, controlling costs, forecasting expenditure, and identifying potential financial risks.
- Oversee site operations, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and other site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.
- Implement and enforce rigorous health and safety protocols on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, clients, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project progression and resolve any arising issues promptly.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in project management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large project budgets and control costs effectively.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional accreditation (e.g., CIOB) is a plus.
