About the Role
Our client is searching for an accomplished Lead Project Manager to spearhead their key projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . This pivotal role involves providing strategic direction and oversight for a portfolio of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be a key figure in shaping project delivery strategies and mentoring junior project managers. This position is office-based, requiring a dedicated presence in our Newcastle upon Tyne facility, contributing to a strong team dynamic and collaborative atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Develop and implement strategic project management frameworks tailored to organisational needs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring clear task delegation and performance monitoring.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships and facilitate critical decision-making processes.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in Project Management , with a significant portion in a lead or senior capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing budgets, resources, and risks for large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and develop project teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with proven experience in C-level stakeholder engagement.
- Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is mandatory.
