About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a specialization in Construction to oversee key development projects in Milton Keynes . This role is critical for delivering high-quality construction projects, managing all aspects from initial planning and design through to final completion and handover. You will be the central point of contact, liaising with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless execution and adherence to stringent building codes and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for construction projects, from conception and feasibility studies to final completion and handover.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring projects remain on track and within financial constraints.
- Coordinate and manage all external consultants, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contracts and performance standards.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and quality control measures throughout the construction process in Milton Keynes .
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and stakeholder updates, effectively communicating project status and resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensure all projects meet or exceed regulatory requirements, building codes, and client specifications.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, specifically within the construction industry .
- Proven experience managing diverse construction projects, such as commercial buildings, residential developments, or infrastructure in Milton Keynes or similar urban environments.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building materials, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent contract negotiation, vendor management, and risk assessment skills.
- A relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
