About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Lead Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of strategic projects within their innovative organisation based in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor project managers and project teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Develop and implement robust project management frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of key strategic projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline objectives.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct project post-mortems and implement lessons learned to improve future project delivery.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management , with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in stakeholder management and building strong working relationships.
- Proficiency with project management software and reporting tools.
