About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Operations Project Manager to spearhead key initiatives within their Logistics and Supply Chain division, based in Wolverhampton . This role is vital for optimizing operational efficiency, implementing new supply chain technologies, and managing complex projects that improve inventory management, transportation, and distribution networks. You will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure seamless project execution and achieve strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and a proven ability to manage projects that deliver tangible improvements in the West Midlands supply chain landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects within the logistics and supply chain operations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse operations, transportation, procurement, and IT.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency and performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management , with a focus on Logistics and Supply Chain operations.
- Proven track record of successfully managing operational improvement projects.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, warehousing, and transportation management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with supply chain management software and project management tools.
- Relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
