About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated IT Project Manager to oversee and manage a variety of technology-focused projects in Manchester . This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation of IT infrastructure upgrades, software deployments, and system enhancements. You will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a proven ability to manage complex IT projects in an on-site capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, including infrastructure, software, and system implementations.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans.
- Oversee IT vendor management, ensuring contractual obligations are met and deliverables are achieved.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing effective mitigation and resolution strategies.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned to improve future project execution.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management .
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and network technologies.
- Proven experience with project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
