About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated IT Project Manager to spearhead technology-focused projects from their Newcastle upon Tyne office. This pivotal role involves managing the full project lifecycle for IT infrastructure, software development, and system implementation projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that IT projects are delivered efficiently, meet technical specifications, and contribute to the company's technological advancement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude combined with robust project management skills, capable of navigating the complexities of the IT landscape and fostering effective teamwork within technical and business units, ensuring seamless integration of new systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and technical requirements in collaboration with IT stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk management strategies for IT initiatives.
- Manage the execution of IT projects, including software deployments, system upgrades, and infrastructure rollouts.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and third-party service providers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify technical challenges, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure all IT projects comply with security policies, data privacy regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing various IT projects , including software, hardware, and network implementations.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies in an IT context.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with technical teams.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 ITIL) are advantageous.
