About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly competent and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in and around Milton Keynes . This role requires a hands-on approach, managing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a field-based role requiring a strong presence on-site, working closely with construction teams, subcontractors, architects, and clients to achieve project objectives. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Develop detailed construction schedules, resource allocation plans , and cost estimates.
- Oversee and coordinate on-site activities, including managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure profitability.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and timely decision-making.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (7+ years) as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects from feasibility to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, regulations, and health and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction project management software and scheduling tools.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
