About the Role
Our client, a leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead key projects in Bristol . This role is central to the successful development and execution of innovative renewable energy projects , such as solar farms, wind energy installations, and energy storage solutions. You will manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and permitting to construction, commissioning, and handover. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects , ensuring they meet technical, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Track project progress, manage change orders, and communicate status updates effectively to all stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, contributing to the company's renewable energy targets.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a significant focus on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.).
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept through to energisation and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of project finance, permitting processes, and grid connection requirements in the energy sector.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and relevant industry tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field.
