About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager with expertise in construction to oversee projects in and around Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK . You will manage all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and regulations. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams, driving successful project outcomes in a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to handover, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Manage client relationships and provide regular project updates and financial reports.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily available.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Solid understanding of construction methods , materials, and building regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of project management software and scheduling tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
