About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced Project Manager specializing in Construction to oversee projects based out of their Wolverhampton office. This is an on-site role requiring a hands-on approach to managing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This role is perfect for a seasoned construction professional looking to lead significant projects within a respected organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, procurement, execution, and closeout.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, including subcontractors and direct labor.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, reporting on project status and risks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management .
- Proven ability to manage complex building projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications are highly valued.
