About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Project Manager to spearhead significant initiatives from their Birmingham office. This senior position involves guiding project teams, shaping project strategy, and ensuring the delivery of key organisational objectives. You will play a critical role in mentoring junior project managers and establishing best practices for project execution within the company. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with extensive experience in managing complex projects and a passion for driving continuous improvement in project management processes and outcomes throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project managers and project team members.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish and enforce project management standards , methodologies, and best practices across the organisation.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement processes to ensure efficient use of company assets and optimal project ROI.
Requirements
- Over 8 years of progressive experience in project management , with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or a technical discipline; PMP or equivalent certification is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop other project managers and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic outlook on project execution .
