About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee key projects in the Sunderland area. This role is integral to the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact for all site operations, managing teams, subcontractors, and client relations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of construction projects from initial planning and tendering through to final handover in Sunderland .
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring efficient utilization of all assets.
- Oversee on-site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues, implementing solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing accurate reports to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Construction Project Management , with a strong understanding of building regulations and site safety.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera).
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
