About the Role
Our client seeks an experienced and organised Telecoms Project Manager to lead critical infrastructure projects based in our Manchester office. This role is essential for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of telecommunications projects, from initiation to completion. You will manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholders, ensuring projects align with strategic objectives and client requirements. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent leadership and communication skills, adept at navigating the complexities of the telecoms sector and driving projects to successful outcomes within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the full project lifecycle for multiple telecoms infrastructure projects, from inception to handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Coordinate and lead project teams, including engineers, technicians, and external contractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, adhering to industry best practices.
- Conduct regular project reviews and provide comprehensive status reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a Project Manager , with specific experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and budget management.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities in a dynamic setting.
