About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and organized Architectural Project Manager to oversee a range of projects from initiation to completion, based in or remotely serving the Sunderland area. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of architectural processes, excellent planning skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, liaising with design teams, contractors, and clients. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of significant projects and contribute to the built environment in the North East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage architectural projects through all stages, from feasibility to handover.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with internal design teams, external consultants, and construction contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant planning permissions, building regulations, and legal requirements.
- Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project progress, issues, and successes to stakeholders regularly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in architectural project management or a related construction project management role.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in project management software and standard office applications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
