About the Role
Our client seeks a dynamic and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of innovative energy projects in and around Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and stakeholder engagement to construction, commissioning, and handover. This role is crucial for expanding our client's renewable energy portfolio and driving the transition towards a greener future. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, liaising with internal teams and external partners to deliver projects on time and within budget, contributing significantly to sustainable energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of renewable energy projects , including wind, solar, and battery storage.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
- Oversee site selection, permitting, and environmental impact assessments.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Engage with local communities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector .
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex energy projects on schedule and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and permitting processes in the UK energy market.
