Overview In this role you lead project management commissions for our Edinburgh Real Estate team, serving as the primary client interface to ensure projects meet time, cost, and quality targets. You’ll manage governance, planning, and cross‑functional collaboration, guiding projects from conception to delivery. With exposure to diverse commissions, including advisory work like urban regeneration funding, you shape objectives and performance. The role combines strategic advisory with hands‑on delivery to help clients realise impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities - Lead end‑to‑end project management commissions
- Interface with the client to ensure objectives are met and delivery stays on time and within cost targets
- Manage projects of varying scale (up to ~£40m; larger for advisory work)
- Advise at the project conception stage on approaches to achieve objectives
- Establish success criteria across time, cost, technical and performance parameters
- Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues
- Set up governance, processes and systems for projects
- Produce detailed project plans and manage resources procurement
- Lead and facilitate cross‑functional project teams
- Apply performance management techniques and KPIs to improve delivery
- Oversee change control, project finances and reporting
- Maintain regular client and consultant interfaces and formal progress reporting
- Represent the client and consultants across project stages
Key requirements - Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (desirable)
- Proven experience managing construction/refurbishment projects, ideally in a consultancy environment (essential)
