Overview In this role you lead end-to-end project management commissions for Edinburgh-based, infrastructure-focused projects. You act as the primary client interface to ensure projects meet time, cost, and quality targets. You will work with cross-functional teams to establish governance, plans, budgets, and risk controls, handling stakeholders and reporting on progress. Responsibilities - Provide strategic guidance at project inception and select viable delivery approaches
- Define project requirements and success criteria (time, cost, technical, performance)
- Set up and maintain project governance, processes, and systems
- Create and maintain master project plan and activity schedules
- Develop resource plans and manage procurement
- Lead cross-functional project teams and monitor performance using KPIs
- Manage change control and budget forecasts against actuals
- Facilitate project communications with client and stakeholders
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Prepare progress reports and interface with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment activities
Key requirements - NEC (3/4) accreditation (preferred)
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS etc (preferred)
- Degree qualified in a construction-related subject (preferred)
- Experience in managing projects in infrastructure sectors (rail/aviation, highways, utilities, defence)
- Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and procurement
