Overview As a Senior Project Manager in the Engineering and Technical Assurance function, you will lead the pathways that move engineering and assurance information through review, acceptance and close-out. You’ll coordinate multidisciplinary teams to build a robust assurance record for handover of major infrastructure assets. This role focuses on process, interfaces and governance rather than performing technical reviews, enabling on-time project completion. You’ll work within a high-stakes, high-impact programme and help shape the project’s trajectory toward successful handover.
Responsibilities - Coordinate people, processes and interfaces to move large volumes of engineering and assurance information through review, acceptance and close-out
- Manage multidisciplinary engineering and technical stakeholders and hold individuals to actions and deadlines
- Ensure evidence and records support the handover of assets from design/construction to operation
- Identify wider project impacts of incomplete assurance information and manage dependencies
- Communicate effectively with engineers and non-technical stakeholders to maintain project alignment
- Support delivery of project controls and delivery processes from design through to completion
- Oversee close-out and commissioning related to assurance records
- Collaborate with client-side or consultancy teams to align on project requirements
Key requirements - Significant project management experience within major infrastructure, engineering or construction
- Experience managing technical assurance, engineering processes, design management, project close-out or similar complex technical workflow
- Strong process management skills to coordinate large information across teams
- Excellent people and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering or technical stakeholders and enforcing deadlines
- Sufficient technical understanding to communicate with engineers without being a technical specialist
- Strong understanding of project delivery processes from design to handover
- Understanding of CDM Regulations in construction or infrastructure
- Previous experience in a client-side or project management consultancy environment
- NEC3 or NEC4 experience
- Ability to assess wider project impact of delayed or incomplete assurance information
