Overview As a Senior Project Manager / Technical Lead, you shape urban water conveyance projects across New England, guiding design through construction. You lead multidisciplinary teams, pursue new business, and apply innovative approaches to complex hydraulics and trenchless work. You’ll partner with clients to deliver meaningful, community-focused water infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities - Lead design teams of engineers and technicians
- Mentor staff and build high-performing project teams
- Drive business development and client relationship growth
- Develop proposals, scope, budgets, and schedules with cross-line collaboration
- Oversee engineering design tasks, including hydraulics, CAD drawings, and feasibility studies
- Support project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule management
- Ensure quality assurance/quality control and coordinate regulatory approvals
- Manage complex projects within multidisciplinary teams
- Lead risk and change management to meet budgets and deadlines
- Supervise and develop future leaders and succession plans
Key requirements - Bachelor in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of project management experience in a consulting environment with conveyance and water infrastructure focus
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- PMP certification is a plus
- Strong leadership, client relations, and market knowledge
- Experience with open-cut and trenchless construction methods and 24-inch+ water/sewer mains
- Ability to coordinate with other engineering disciplines and regulatory reviews
