Overview As Project Controls Manager, you will lead the controls function for major Scottish infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate plans, costs, safety, and performance reporting. You’ll coordinate across planning, cost, risk and change to support delivery teams and optimise resource use. You’ll work with Programme and Project Managers to maintain data standards and efficient reporting. This role sits at the heart of multi-sector projects and offers visibility into how controls shape delivery outcomes. You will influence project performance and strategic investment planning.

Responsibilities - Deliver Project Controls across major infrastructure construction projects in Scotland; lead the programme controls function ensuring accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting
- Review new project proposals/remits to develop realistic, resourced delivery plans
- Identify resourcing requirements and liaise with planning functions to resolve issues
- Provide efficient day-to-day reporting support to Programme and Project Managers on plans, costs, safety, environment and programme performance
- Monitor data input into cost and performance systems to meet data standards
- Manage production of the Investment Plan and comply with the Investment Competence Framework
Key requirements - Experience in planning and scheduling functions including schedule development, control, and analysis
- Experience in construction infrastructure projects across defence, rail, aviation, highways, nuclear, power, energy, water
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with PC operating systems and basic software applications
- Proficiency with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office; knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processes
