Overview You will support the UK pensions governance function to ensure effective operation of the Trustee Board and committees. In this role you work closely with the Governance team to drive governance projects, risk management and data integrity across our DB and DC plans. You will lead initiatives such as the Pensions Dashboard, GMP changes, and annual benefit statements, enabling compliant, stakeholder-focused governance. Responsibilities - Support governance of the Group’s UK pensions and life assurance arrangements (DB and DC) and manage governance projects within budget and timeline constraints
- Design and implement project management strategies to meet objectives and policies
- Monitor pensions industry developments and communicate changes to the team
- Assist in delivering best-in-class governance services for the UK Pension Plan
- Support annual business and strategic plans with Trustee Board alignment
- Lead administration-focused projects (e.g., GMP equalization/conversion) and data accuracy
- Oversee project delivery through working groups and monitor budgets up to ~£5m
- Lead delivery and maintenance of the Pensions Dashboard
- Maintain the Trustee’s Data Management Plan and oversee data audits
- Manage POC contracts and stakeholder communications, including IT/system changes
- Ensure controls are in place and regularly tested; coordinate cyber risk reviews and action follow-ups
- Maintain and test BCP and IRP, ensuring suitable plans with advisers and suppliers
- Support production of annual benefit statements and development of member website/app for legal compliance
- Serve as governance subject matter expert on members’ benefit and data requirements
Key requirements - 5 years+ experience in a similar role
- Proven ability to implement changes to benefit calculations with system providers
- Maths and English at GCSE/O-Level grade C or above
