Overview In this Senior Project Manager role, you lead capital water projects across the lifecycle, from inception to commissioning. You work on client-side delivery within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating design, procurement, and on-site execution. You foster governance, risk, and stakeholder management to meet quality, cost, and schedule goals. Responsibilities - Lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary water projects within collaborative delivery teams
- Provide client-side project management across option studies, development, procurement, and NEC contract administration
- Oversee governance arrangements with clear roles and accountabilities
- Manage client satisfaction in quality, cost, and time across projects
- Support and manage project resources and subcontractors, including remote team members
- Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development and bid submissions
- Mentor and guide Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices
- Ensure on-site delivery and commissioning meet project objectives
Key requirements - Infrastructure project management experience, water industry desirable
- Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts, NEC ECC accreditation preferred
- Experience in integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Highly motivated with an expanding industry network
- Strong relationship-building abilities with clients and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with Senior Project Managers and Associates
- Team player with proactive, diplomatic, and flexible attitude
- Experience in client organisations or secondees
- Excellent IT skills and ability to use digital tools
- Numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience preparing bid submissions
- Prior team and line management experience with clear leadership skills
- Relevant degree in project management, engineering, environmental science, construction, or related field
- Demonstrable experience with NEC3/NEC4 contract management
- PM qualification desirable (APM PMQ or PRINCE2) and professional body membership desirable
