About the Role
Our client, a highly reputable construction firm with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee major commercial developments in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK . This is a critical on-site role where you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of complex construction projects, from initial planning and procurement through to final handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction are met. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead and motivate site teams, including subcontractors, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
- Develop and implement robust health and safety plans, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement timely solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, specifications, and building regulations.
- Manage client relationships, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Oversee procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and financial records.
- Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders, including design teams, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent significant industry experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on commercial builds.
- Demonstrable success in managing projects from inception to completion, with budgets exceeding £5 million.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract administration, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices in the construction industry.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commercially astute with strong financial acumen.
- Proficiency in relevant IT software packages.
- Full UK driving licence.
