About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Construction Project Manager to lead significant projects within the Newcastle upon Tyne region. This role involves the full lifecycle management of construction projects, from initial planning and budgeting through to execution and handover. You will be the primary point of contact, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, architects, engineers, and site teams. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving project success, upholding quality standards, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships, playing a vital part in shaping the built environment of the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within the allocated budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and cost estimations.
- Manage project risks, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues that could impact project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Coordinate and manage all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor project progress closely, providing regular reports on status, performance, and expenditures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management .
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract administration, and site supervision .
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools.
- A relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
