About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead a major development in Sunderland . This role is critical for ensuring the successful delivery of complex construction projects from conception through to completion, overseeing all aspects of planning, execution, and handover. You will be responsible for managing teams, budgets, and timelines, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to navigate the challenges of the construction industry and drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying critical path activities and potential delays.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and quality control procedures on site.
- Manage project finances, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a portfolio of successfully delivered projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills .
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively and make decisive decisions under pressure.
