About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Project Manager to lead a major commercial development in Sunderland . This senior role requires a strategic thinker capable of overseeing all phases of the construction lifecycle, from planning and procurement to execution and close-out. You will be responsible for managing project teams, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of managing large-scale construction projects and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Manage and motivate project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Construction Project Manager on large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and contract management.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectively in Sunderland .
