About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead challenging new developments in the vibrant city of Birmingham . You will be instrumental in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan, while also providing a single point of contact for all project stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership qualities, and a commitment to delivering projects of the highest quality, contributing to the company's reputation for excellence in the West Midlands construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Create and manage detailed project schedules, identifying and mitigating potential risks and roadblocks.
- Coordinate and manage the activities of project teams, including architects, engineers, and site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to all relevant parties, including clients and senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or similar.
