About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead a portfolio of exciting new builds and refurbishments in the Birmingham area. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, from conception to handover. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, strong financial acumen, and exceptional stakeholder management skills, ensuring successful delivery of complex projects within the vibrant West Midlands construction landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
- Manage project execution, overseeing all aspects of site operations and contractor performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Control project costs, managing budgets, and approving expenditures.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication among project teams, clients, and external agencies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management .
- Demonstrable success in managing projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project management software.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the Birmingham region.
