About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic Construction Project Manager to lead significant building projects based in and around Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This role involves overseeing all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. We seek a candidate with exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, who can navigate complex construction environments and manage multiple stakeholders effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of project teams , including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and report regularly to senior management and clients.
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and approve payments to contractors and suppliers.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract management , and procurement processes.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices on construction sites.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and BIM tools.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
