About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a strong background in the retail sector to join their team in Milton Keynes . You will be responsible for managing multifaceted retail projects, including store openings, refurbishments, and system implementations, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with brand strategy. This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced retail environment and driving initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of retail projects, from initial concept development to final delivery and post-project review.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and resource requirements for retail initiatives.
- Coordinate effectively with internal departments such as marketing, operations, IT, and store management.
- Manage external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and designers, to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement timely corrective actions.
- Ensure all projects adhere to brand standards, operational requirements, and budgetary constraints.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a significant focus on retail projects or store development.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects involving store fit-outs, refurbishments, or new product launches.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain, and customer experience principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project).
- Ability to travel occasionally to project sites across the UK.
