About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Lead Project Manager to spearhead critical projects within a fully remote structure. This role is crucial for driving complex, multi-faceted initiatives from conception through to successful completion. As a Lead Project Manager, you will not only manage projects but also mentor junior team members and contribute to the evolution of project management best practices within the organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Direct the strategic planning, execution, and successful closure of large-scale projects in a fully remote setting.
- Define project scope, objectives, budgets, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring minimal disruption to progress.
- Facilitate effective virtual collaboration and communication, ensuring all team members are aligned and informed.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of project managers and coordinators, fostering their professional growth.
- Develop and implement robust reporting mechanisms to track project performance and communicate key metrics to leadership.
Requirements
- Over 8 years of progressive experience in project management , with a significant portion in remote or distributed team leadership.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, high-value projects from initiation to completion.
- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to adapt approaches as needed.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, particularly within virtual team dynamics.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent extensive experience; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is strongly preferred.
