About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead significant building projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role involves managing all aspects of the construction lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to execution and final handover. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives are met with the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction ventures within tight deadlines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
Manage relationships with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and stakeholder satisfaction.
Procure necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Conduct quality control checks and ensure all work meets project specifications and industry standards.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction project management .
Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
